RESIDENT RETURN VISA (RRV)
If you have not applied for citizenship before your travel facility on your permanent residency visa has ended, you may have to apply for a resident return visa to be able to travel in and out of Australia. If you have lived in Australia for at least two of the five years prior to applying for your resident return visa, then you should have a good chance of renewing your RRV. Otherwise, you will only be eligible for a resident return visa on the basis you can demonstrate ‘close ties of benefit to Australia’.
